Meet Richard, Dr. Littlejohn’s Optometric Technician
Dr. Littlejohn is frequently told “what a nice young man” Richard is. Richard is responsible for patient pretesting before they see the doctor. Part of his pretest responsibilities include recording patient blood pressure readings, visual field testing and his favorite, Optomap retinal imaging. Michelle Littlejohn, Doc’s wife notes “I am very impressed by how Richard takes time to explain each procedure to the patients; I think he makes them feel very comfortable.” When not in pretest with a patient, Richard is advancing his skills in the art of adjusting glasses and is training to edge lenses in our on-site lab. Dr. Littlejohn also calls Richard “son-in-law,” as he is now married to Doctor's daughter, Karyn!
