Meet Dr. Littlejohn's Outstanding Opticians, Nichole and Misty!
"I give a lot of credit to the young children out there that have challenged me to become the great optician that I am. Without all those mangled glasses they brought to me over the years I would never have been able to obtain the hands on experience I needed."
Nichole has been working as a dual licensed optician for almost 18 years now. She is very committed to Eye Health Awareness from children to the elderly as well as the effects of diabetes on the eyes. She has performed several vision screenings throughout the community at local health fairs as well as local daycare centers.
Previously Nichole worked at the Wal-Mart Vision Center in Troy and Piqua. While continuing to dedicate herself to the optical field, Nichole went on to obtain her LPN training from the Upper Valley JVS School of Practical Nursing where she graduated at the top of her class. She now uses her nursing in conjunction with her optical knowledge to better educate her patients about eye health.
Nichole is a Piqua High School graduate and continues to reside in Piqua with her husband of 17 years and three children.
Misty has been working in the optical field for nearly 16 years. She loves helping people, and one of her favorite aspects of her work is "when a patient puts on a new pair of glasses and they are excited they can see things like the leaves on the trees." Misty is also very talented when it comes to helping patients choose the lens enhancements that will complement their new prescription, and she loves to show new frame fashions and designs.
While helping patients look great in their new specs is important, the relationships she forms with patients makes her work all the more rewarding. Her goal is to be your "optician for a for a lifetime." Misty lives in Piqua with her husband Joe and their three children.
